This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our digital platforms and services and explains how we handle personal information, technical information, geographic information, and other data processed in connection with your use of MapInch.

IP-based location is approximate and is not intended to determine the user's precise physical location.

MapInch does not use IP-based location information to determine a user's precise GPS location.

When you use MapInch, we may process geographic and map-related information, including:

  • State, District, Sub-District, and Village information
  • Village and administrative location information
  • Mustil and Killa information
  • Parcel and cadastral information
  • Geographic coordinates and spatial information
  • Map layers and associated metadata
  • Map search and filtering information
  • Map-related records created or managed through the platform

2.4 Uploaded Maps and Documents

Where applicable, users or authorized administrators may upload or manage:

  • Digital village maps
  • GeoPDF and other map documents
  • Spatial data files

  • Associated metadata and geographic records
  • Other documents or files supported by the platform

2.5 Usage Information

We may collect information about how you interact with MapInch, including:

2.6 Device and Technical Information

  • Determine and associate an approximate registration location, such as city and state, using IP-based location information.
  • Provide access to maps, geographic information, and related services.
  • Store, process, render, and display geographic information and spatial layers.
  • Provide search and filtering across administrative areas and cadastral information.
  • Generate map visualizations, reports, downloads, and exports requested by authorized users.
  • Provide the map download feature for later use.
  • Provide subscription-related services and process payments.
  • Send transactional notifications, subscription notifications, security alerts, and essential service communications.
  • Detect unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain backups and restore services when necessary.
  • Improve the reliability, functionality, and security of MapInch.

Where applicable, we process personal information on the following legal bases:

5. Map Data Security and Private Access

MapInch may contain geographic information, maps, documents, and other data that are not intended to be publicly accessible.

Where applicable, access to protected maps, documents, map layers, and related resources is controlled through authentication and authorization mechanisms.

MapInch may use temporary, signed, or otherwise access-controlled links for protected files and resources. Such links may expire or become invalid after a defined period or when access is revoked.

Protected files and map resources are not intended to be accessible through unrestricted public URLs.

Users should not share authentication credentials, private access links, downloaded files, or other protected resources with unauthorized persons.

Administrative users may have additional permissions to view, manage, preview, download, or otherwise process map and geographic data according to their assigned role.

6. Downloaded Maps and Device-Saved Data

Certain MapInch features may allow users to download maps and associated map data for later use.

When a user downloads a map, relevant map data and associated files may be stored locally on the user's device or made available through the device for later use.

Downloaded map data may remain on the device until the user manually removes it, clears application data, uninstalls the application, or the application otherwise removes or updates the stored data.

The MapInch Download feature does not constitute an offline mode. Certain MapInch functionality may still require an active internet connection and communication with MapInch services.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of downloaded maps, files, and other MapInch data stored on their devices and should not provide unauthorized persons with access to such information.

7. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.

These measures may include:

  • Encrypted transmission between users and MapInch services.
  • Authentication and authorization controls.
  • Role-based access controls.
  • Access restrictions for protected maps and documents.
  • Temporary or signed access mechanisms for protected resources.
  • Infrastructure and application monitoring.
  • Security logging and operational controls.
  • Regular backups of relevant platform data.
  • Restricted access to administrative and infrastructure systems.
  • Security measures designed to protect stored information and application infrastructure.

No internet-based service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for securing the devices they use to access MapInch.

8. Data Retention and Backups

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide MapInch services.
  • Maintain user accounts.
  • Provide requested features and functionality.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Resolve disputes.
  • Enforce agreements.
  • Maintain security.
  • Protect the integrity and operation of the platform.
  • Maintain necessary business and operational records.

MapInch may maintain encrypted backups of relevant platform and database information for operational recovery, business continuity, and security purposes.

Deletion of information from active systems may not immediately result in its removal from all backup systems. Backup data may be retained for a limited period in accordance with our backup and retention procedures before being securely deleted or overwritten.

9. Data Sharing and Third Parties

MapInch does not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or geographic data.

We may share or provide limited access to information where necessary to operate and provide the service, including with:

  • Cloud and infrastructure hosting providers.
  • Storage and file infrastructure providers.
  • Payment gateway and payment processing providers.
  • Service providers supporting application operation, security, communications, or maintenance.
  • Legal, regulatory, or governmental authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Third-party service providers are expected to process information only as necessary to provide their services and subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, or security protections where applicable.

10. Payments and Subscriptions

MapInch may offer paid subscriptions or other paid services.

Where payments are processed through third-party payment providers, payment information may be processed directly by those providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies and terms.

MapInch may receive limited transaction-related information necessary to manage subscriptions, such as:

  • Transaction references
  • Subscription status
  • Subscription plan
  • Billing-related information

MapInch does not need to store complete payment card information when payment processing is handled by the applicable payment provider.

  • Performance and operational purposes.

The applications may store certain map data locally on the device when users use supported download features.

MapInch does not access information on a user's device unrelated to the functionality of the application unless such access is specifically required, disclosed, and permitted.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

Where information has been included in backup systems, deletion from active systems may not immediately remove the information from backup copies. Such backup information may be removed in accordance with applicable retention and backup procedures.

MapInch is a professional platform intended primarily for government departments, organizations, professionals, and other authorized users. The platform is not directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our:
